Ski Saturday April 19th
Marquette Mountain will be open Saturday and Sunday according to their web site, http://www.marquettemountain.com, however Mount Bohemia, the toughest ski area in the Midwest- which was planning earlier this week to be open Saturday and Sunday- will not be open. Either way it has been a helluva year for skiing in Wisconsin and Michigan.
We saw a water skier on Silver Lake in Oconomowoc late today. Pretty impressive considering the lake was ice covered last week. A Laser regatta scheduled for Nagawicka Lake in Delafield was canceled last week due to ice boats being in the way (or was it ice fisherman?). The sailing regatta has been resecheduled for this weekend. Have fun.

99.1 Inches
The Milwaukee airport received 99.1 inches of snow for the 2007-08 winter according to local weather guy, John Malan. It is possible we could break 100 inches but it is unlikely. There still is a place to ski in the Midwest. Mount Bohemia in Upper Michigan received 11 inches over the weekend and will probably be open the weekend of April 19th and 20th, according to their web site.
